Robben Ford returns to Italy with an all-star band for eight extraordinary concerts between November and December 2024. Joining Robben Ford on stage will be Darryl Jones, bassist for The Rolling Stones since 1993. This all-star band has been assembled specifically for these 8 special concert events in Italy. The concert setlist will include tribute moments to Jeff Beck, to whom Ford will dedicate an album that he will record with these same musicians.
The legendary American guitarist and composer Robben Ford will return to Italy for a tour that promises to be memorable, three years after his last appearance in our country.
The tour will take place between November and December 2024 and will feature Ford performing in eight unmissable dates:

This new Italian tour will see Robben Ford accompanied by an All-Star Band composed of extraordinary musicians: Darryl Jones, the longtime bassist of The Rolling Stones, Larry Goldings on keyboards, and Gary Husband on drums. This top-tier lineup promises to deliver unforgettable experiences to the fans of Italy and beyond.
“Together with D’Alessandro e Galli, we had the idea of creating an All-Star Band for a tour in Italy, my favorite country, between late November and early December 2024. So, I started contacting high-level musicians for their availability and got the best: Darryl Jones from The Rolling Stones on bass, Larry Goldings on keyboards, and Gary Husband on drums. These are all top-tier musicians, and it’s very exciting to be working with these greats, who are so sought-after—in other words: hard to get!” said an enthusiastic Robben Ford about this tour before revealing some details about his new album.
“We will be recording a new album in early October in the United States. The concept was initially inspired by the music and playing of Jeff Beck, whom we have sadly lost, and I wanted to pay tribute to him. He was such a master stylist, unmistakable, and super-creative. I also want the music to have a strong, funky feeling to it, for which I’m drawing on the music of The Meters and the great Stax rhythm section—Booker T and The MGs. This music will be very funky, dramatic, and powerful, with a lot of guitar playing in a very new way for me. I can’t wait to unveil this band and music in Italy…the best audience on the planet!” - Robben Ford
Some moments of the concerts will be dedicated to Jeff Beck, featuring covers of the legendary British guitarist who passed away last year.
